Guangying Zhang has practiced and played badminton for over 18 years. He strives to instill proper work ethic among team members and ensure a positive experience for everyone on the team, whether they be beginners are advanced players.

John Lin

Assistant Coach

John Lin has practiced and played badminton nearly 20 years. As a coach and parent of former TPHS alumni, John strives to teach students proper badminton skills. His passion for badminton has extended to other fields, such as when he personally developed an iWatch app named MySmash, used for measuring arm movement speed (such as pronation and supination) and acceleration.

Doreen Hom

Parent Liaison

Doreen Hom is Torrey Pines Badminton's team liaison. She is in charge of the team’s finances and does everything necessary to ensure the success of the team. She lettered in badminton at San Diego High School then played the sport recreationally at University of California, San Diego.
